Core Strength

Core strength is the foundation of Pilates exercise. The core muscles are the deep, internal muscles of the abdomen and back. When the core muscles are
strong and doing their job, as they are trained to do in Pilates, they work in tandem with the more superficial muscles of the trunk to support the spine and movement. As you develop your core strength you develop stability throughout your entire torso. This is one of the keys to how Pilates helps people overcome back pain. As the trunk is properly stabilized, pressure on the back is relieved and the body is able to move freely and efficiently.*


History
Pilates was created by Joseph Pilates during WWI in veterans. Pilates developed a collection of precise movements that would emphasize the control and form necessary to aid injured soldiers as they worked to regain their health by strengthening, stretching and stabilizing key muscle groups.

What do we teach at CPilates?

We teach the original, classical pilates that Joseph created. As we are a fully equipped studio, you can expect to learn the different equipment as you progress through your program. Complete novice are welcome. Our teachers are skilled to teach you from any physical level and to train you from season to season as you get stronger and stronger.

Cancellation Policy

Cornerstone Pilates is a boutique business, which means we strive on customer ownership and consumer pride - to keep us at the top. We ask that you try your best to keep your appointment and honor the booking system with our 24 hour notice for cancellation and amendment.

Adverse Weather Condition (Black rain and Typhoon 8):

If the signal is lowered by 11pm all classes the following day resumes as scheduled.

If the signal is lowered by 7am all classes 11am onwards resume as scheduled.

If the signal is lowered by 11am all afternoon and evening classes from 3pm onward resume as scheduled.
