Class Types (Maximum 4 people per class)

Beginners: 55-Minute Class. An introduction to the reformer and the fundamental exercises on the machine. A rigorous mat class. Designed to help you get orientated with the studio, our equipment and to find out more.

Classical 1: 55-Minute Class - the Joe Pilates way. It's compacted, demanding and takes you from the floor to the machine hitting over 40 exercises. It's a very full session. Beginners are encouraged to come, but be prepared to feel the burn.

Mat 1: 55-Minute Class. Start with a huge inhale and your trainer will take you through a beautiful sequence of challenge Original Pilates exercises and repertoire. Leave the class standing, energized and taller for the rest of day. Challenging at all-Levels.

MVe Chair: 55-Minute Class. If anyone ever told you pilates was easy they have not done a chair class. This is a demanding class. Testing balance, strength, stamina, agility and you will wonder why you haven't done pilates sooner!  Excellent for gym buffs that's been wanting an introduction to pilates

Pilates Express: 45-Minute Class.  A  no-joke pilates class. Designed to work up a storm in your lymph and send you off to your evening entertainment.  Destress and then destress some more. We understand. This class is hardcore. <--- Note the underline and take it seriously. Express and detox through an all props class, speedy and sweaty and makes you feel OH SO GOOD! All-Levels that are rushing for their next stop.

Power Lunch: 50-Minute Mega-Watt regime. Designed for the busy professional to pop in, get moving and get you out in an hour. All-Levels that has impeccable suit-to-gear changing speeds.

Props 1: 50-Minute Magic Circle regime. Feel the burn in your abs, glutes and all the other places you didn't think you have muscles!

Reformer 1: 55-Minute Class. Can't get enough of the machine work? Or having trouble catching up in our other group class? Delve into deeper understanding of this unique work. Beginners welcome.

Tower 1: 55-Minute Class. Demanding. Challenging. Fun and your body will thank you for it! Be invigorated. Bring a towel to wipe yourself down.

 

Fundamentals

Do these at home to improve your performance all-round. 

Breathing
Belly button is suck in and up towards your rib cage. Posture is tall. As you inhale, imagine a string pulling you taller, exhale feel the shoulders release and the rib cage relax to it's original position.

Breathing deeply is a natural movement and extremely health-worthy. The spinal decompression promotes mobility in your spine and keeps your spinal disc nice and healthy.

Neutral Pelvis
To find neutral pelvis lying down. Tilt your pelvis towards you and then away from you -- hitting your extreme stretch. Do that a few times and then find a happy medium. This would be your neutral pelvis.

Finding neutral pelvis is not so that you can do your entire workout looking like a stiff board, but bring awareness to that area - the base of your spine. The ability to know where neutral pelvis lies for you is to help you have an indicator of where your body/spine should sit, lie, stand in space for optimal alignment and ease of movement.

    *Trainers certified through other programs other than Peak Pilates are still welcome to rent or to teach at our studio. We have a clear equivalency distinction that clearly marks which level their competency equates back to the PPS benchmark.

    Cancellation Policy

    Cornerstone Pilates is a boutique business, which means we strive on customer ownership and consumer pride - to keep us at the top. We ask that you try your best to keep your appointment and honor the booking system with our 24 hour notice for cancellation and amendment.

    Adverse Weather Condition (Black rain and Typhoon 8):

    If the signal is lowered by 11pm all classes the following day resumes as scheduled.

    If the signal is lowered by 7am all classes 11am onwards resume as scheduled.

    If the signal is lowered by 11am all afternoon and evening classes from 3pm onward resume as scheduled.
